LIGHT4ME FIREFLY 230B is an efficient, modern and at the same time relatively cheap moving beam head with a 230 W discharge lamp, a multi-arm prism and a special filter creating a rainbow effect, which is perfect for stage and disco illumination. It can be successfully used during concerts and various types of stage cultural events, work in music clubs and discos, as well as create a lighting setting for wedding bands and mobile DJs.

The spotlight’s components have been enclosed in a durable casing equipped with handles allowing for carrying and installing the equipment on stage ramps and trusses. The movable head features a 14-colour disc and a gobo wheel with 17 beam patterns, including 4 colourful glass shapes. Additionally, it has a rotating prism, which splits the light simultaneously into 8, 16 and 24 beams, thus creating an interesting rosette effect. Firefly also offers the RDM (Remote Device Management) function for remote management of the unit. This is very useful in situations where access to the spotlight is difficult and there is a need to change settings that would normally be done from the menu (e.g. addressing, number of channels, etc.).

In the rear part of the base, there is a switch and a powercon socket, as well as an input and output for DMX signals in the form of 3-pin XLR sockets. On the front, there is an easy-to-read colour LCD display and a large rotary button for navigating the menu and selecting the appropriate operating parameters. Firefly can function in one of four modes:

  • Auto, in which the moving head operates completely autonomously;
  • Sound, in which the spotlight works to the rhythm of ambient music thanks to a sensitive microphone built into the body of the housing;
  • Master/Slave, in which several units connected to each other work synchronously, with the first spotlight in the line being the leading unit;
  • DMX, when external lighting controllers are used to control assemblies or individual spotlights.
